Midsole Foam

Midsole foam is the cushioning layer between the outsole and the insole, and it sets how a shoe feels underfoot. Avetco stocks closed-cell EVA midsole foam in sheets, graded by Shore C hardness so you can match the foam to the build.

Our grades run from E400 (40–45 Shore C) for soft cushioning and comfort footwear, through E500 (50–55) and E600 (60–65) for everyday midsoles and work footwear, up to E700 (70–75) for firm, load-bearing midsoles, wedges and platforms. Thicknesses run 6mm to 40mm, so you can cut, stack and laminate to your spec.

Footwear manufacturers, sample rooms, repair shops and orthotic labs buy these by the sheet for midsoles, wedges, heel lifts, posting and sole build-ups. Closed-cell EVA is lightweight, water-resistant and cuts, presses and dies cleanly.
