Satin with a backing fabric. The backing is the point — a white polyester tricot knit bonded to the satin face, giving it body and stability that a loose satin does not have, so it holds its shape when cut, wrapped or lasted.
That makes it a working material rather than a drapey one. Typical uses are dancing shoes, belts, handbags and covered accessories.
100% polyester face on 100% polyester tricot backing, 58″ wide (±1″), about 0.3mm thick, high-gloss face with a soft knit back. Sold in 5-yard cuts in a range of colors — see the color selector on the product page for what is currently available.
Often paired with Synthetic Leather and Cork Fabrics for handbag and footwear work. Email info@avetcoinc.com for wholesale pricing or to check color availability.
