Cork Fabrics

Natural cork fabric from Spain — cork oak bark shaved thin and bonded to a flexible backing. It cuts and sews like leather, weighs almost nothing, and no two pieces carry the same grain.

Stocked at 0.9–1.0mm thick, about 2.5 oz, in two cut sizes: 36″ x 54″ and 27″ x 36″. Six patterns, several with color options: Cordoba, Marbella (natural gold), Meadow, Monaco, Segovia and Seville.

Used for handbags, wallets, footwear, straps, upholstery and accessories, and chosen where a vegan or plant-based material is called for. Several are certified free of PCP, azo pigments, chrome VI, formaldehyde and APEO.

Because the grain is natural, pattern and tone vary piece to piece — cut visible panels from a single piece where you need them to match.
