8 mm (5/16″) closed-cell EVA sheet in our E600 high density grade, at 60-65° Shore C. That hardness sits in the middle of the range — firm enough to hold a shape under load, soft enough to still cushion, which is why it is the common choice for midsoles and general padding.

EVA foam is an elasticized closed-cell foam made from Ethylene Vinyl Acetate and blended copolymers, with a high level of chemical cross-linking. The result is a semi-rigid sheet with a fine, uniform cell structure — shock absorbing, buoyant, waterproof, and resistant to UV and cracking.
