Important Shipping Information E700 EVA Foam is a high-density, rigid material that can be difficult to roll, particularly in thicker gauges. Large sheets often require bulky or oversized packaging, which may result in higher shipping costs due to dimensional weight charges imposed by carriers. In some cases, shipping charges may exceed the cost of the material itself. This is common with large or thick EVA foam sheets because shipping rates are based on package dimensions as well as actual weight. For large orders, multiple sheets, please email us at info@avetcoinc.com for a shipping quote before placing your order.

Description

E700 High-Density Eva closed-cell Foam with a hardness of 70-75° Durometer Shore C. What is EVA Foam? Eva Foam is a type of foam made from Ethylene Vinyl Acetate and blended copolymers, which gives it an elastic quality. It is chemically cross-linked, resulting in a uniform cell structure and a semi-rigid product for various applications. Eva Foam is known for its shock-absorbing and buoyancy properties and its resistance to water, UV radiation, and cracking. Because of these properties, Eva Foam is a highly versatile material that can be used in various fields, such as footwear (e.g., midsole), sports, packing, flooring, sports equipment, and even props and costumes for cosplay. EVA foam presents itself as a highly versatile material worth exploring due to its wonderful ability to be shaped with heat, glued to other materials, and painted. It boasts a smooth texture on both sides and is conveniently available in various thicknesses and densities, opening up endless possibilities for creative expression.

E700 High-Density EVA Foam is also available in 2 mm through 40 mm — see the full 60-75° Shore C high density range.

Eva foam for orthotics and orthopedic footwear

At 10mm there is real stock to work with — height, depth and grinding allowance in one sheet, without laminating layers together first. At 70-75° Shore C it holds that height under body weight. Orthotic labs, pedorthists and shoe repair shops reach for this eva foam sheet for:

  • Heel lifts and full-length raises for leg length discrepancy, ground to the prescribed height
  • Deep heel cups and total-contact orthotic shells
  • Aggressive rearfoot and forefoot posting where a thinner sheet runs out of material
  • Rocker profiles, buildups and sole wedging on orthopedic footwear
  • The base of a diabetic multi-density insert, with room left for a soft top cover
  • Midsole and bottoming stock in shoe repair and custom builds

Like the rest of our eva foam range it is closed-cell, so it does not soak up perspiration or lose thickness to it. It grinds and bevels to a clean edge, heat-forms over a positive cast, and takes contact cement well. Finish it with a softer top cover such as our 2mm 25-30° Shore C EVA — the firm sheet controls, the soft sheet comforts.
