Distressed Leather

Distressed leathers have a worn-in, vintage look from the first cut. Finishes include oily pull-up and crazy horse leathers that lighten when bent or scratched, crackle finishes, shrunken grain, metallic and used-look or broken-in styles.

The range covers cow, buffalo and bison, goat and lambskin, from soft 1/2 to 2/3 oz lambskins for garments up to 5/6 and 8/9 oz cow for belts, bags and straps. Tannages include chrome, semi-veg and vegetable. Each listing shows its own thickness, hide size and colors.

Distressed leathers are popular for jackets, boots, bags, belts, costume and film work. As a natural product, leather may show small marks, scars or range marks; these are part of genuine leather and are usually easy to cut around.
