Sewing thread for leather, upholstery, footwear and heavy fabrics, in two types:
• Bonded nylon thread for machine and hand sewing. Sizes run from finer to heavier: B33 (T30), B46 (T45), B69 (T70), B138 (T135) and B207 (T210). Bonding keeps the thread smooth and helps stop it fraying as it runs through the needle.
• Waxed thread for hand stitching, in 0.8 mm and 1 mm heavy-duty spools.
In general, lighter sizes such as B33 and B46 suit garments, bags and small leather goods, B69 is a common all-round size for bags and upholstery, and B138 and B207 are for heavy work such as saddlery, belts and thick leather.
