Description

E700 High-Density Eva closed-cell Foam with a hardness of 70-75° Durometer Shore C. Eva Foam is a type of foam made from Ethylene Vinyl Acetate and blended copolymers, which gives it an elastic quality. It is chemically cross-linked, resulting in a uniform cell structure and a semi-rigid product for various applications. Eva Foam is known for its shock-absorbing and buoyancy properties and its resistance to water, UV radiation, and cracking. Because of these properties, Eva Foam is a highly versatile material that can be used in various fields, such as footwear (e.g., midsole, platforms), sports, packing, flooring, sports equipment, and even props and costumes for cosplay. EVA foam presents itself as a highly versatile material worth exploring due to its wonderful ability to be shaped with heat, glued to other materials, and painted. It boasts a smooth texture on both sides and is conveniently available in various thicknesses and densities, opening up endless possibilities for creative expression.

E700 High-Density EVA Foam is also available in 2 mm through 40 mm — see the full 60-75° Shore C high density range.

Uses / Suitable For:

  • Footwear (e.g., midsole, platforms)
  • Sports
  • Packing
  • Flooring
  • Sports Equipment
  • Props and Costumes for Cosplay

Orthotic, orthopedic and diabetic use

At 20mm this is lift and buildup stock rather than insole material — the gauge used when height has to be added to the outside of the shoe. At 70-75° Shore C it carries that height under body weight without collapsing. Orthopedic footwear makers and shoe repair shops use it for:

  • External shoe elevations and sole raises for leg length discrepancy
  • Deep sole buildups, wedging and rocker units on orthopedic footwear
  • Carving stock for prosthetic covers, seating and positioning work

Closed-cell, so it does not soak up perspiration, and it grinds and bevels to a clean edge. For insole-gauge orthotic work — posting, shells and top covers — the thinner sheets in our 60-75° Shore C high density range are the ones to start from.
