Hair on goat hide brings natural texture to a project in a way no printed leather can: the coat is short, dense and lies flat, so it reads as a fine suede-like pile rather than a shaggy pelt. Goat is smaller and finer in the fibre than cow, which makes these hides easier to cut and stitch for small work. Each hide is naturally tanned and free of harmful chemicals, with a soft-to-medium temper. Hides run 4-6 square feet at roughly 3.5-4 oz. (1.4-1.6 mm).
