A heavy duty welded ring in 32 mm, with a 5 mm cross section that is noticeably thicker than the non-welded version of the same size. A welded ring is fused closed at the join, so it will not pull open under load. That makes it the right choice for anything load-bearing — heavy tote straps, dog leads, harness work — where a butted ring could spring.
