0.08″ (2mm) thick closed-cell foam is made of smooth EVA  material and absorbs shock while resisting water and UV radiation. Its soft 25-30° Shore C feel makes it a natural top cover for orthotics and a liner for diabetic and accommodative inserts. It’s easy to cut and shape with a utility knife or a heat gun, making it highly versatile for use in sports gear, footwear, packaging, flooring, props, cosplay costumes, and art.

Description

E200 EVA Foam High Density Hardness 25-30° Shore C

What is EVA Foam? Eva Foam consists of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate and blended copolymers, which give an elastic quality. It is chemically cross-linked, resulting in a uniform cell structure and a semi-rigid product for various applications, and has shock-absorbing and buoyancy properties and is resistant to water, UV radiation, and cracking. Available in various thicknesses and densities with a smooth texture on both sides. It is a versatile material that can be shaped with heat, easily glued to other materials, and painted, making it perfect for creative expression. EVA foam has various uses, including footwear for insoles, handbags for stiffening, interlining, stiffener, sports equipment, athletic padding, packaging, flooring, and even cosplay props and costumes.

Orthotic, orthopedic and diabetic use

At 25-30° Shore C this 2mm sheet sits at the soft end of our EVA range, so it works as a cushioning and interface layer rather than a structural one. Orthotic labs, pedorthists and shoe repair shops use it for:

  • Full-length top covers over a firmer EVA, cork or polypropylene shell — adds cushioning without changing the correction underneath
  • Accommodative liners for diabetic and neuropathic inserts, where a soft interface protects at-risk skin
  • Friction and blister relief — lining the collar, tongue or heel counter of orthopedic footwear
  • Metatarsal pads, dancer pads, and horseshoe or U-shaped relief pads cut and skived from the sheet
  • Thin heel lifts and shims, stacked to build height in small increments
  • The soft layer in dual- and triple-density laminations, bonded with contact or all-purpose cement

Closed-cell, so it does not soak up perspiration and wipes clean. It skives and bevels cleanly on a grinder, heat-forms over a positive cast at low temperature, and ships on a 39″ x 5 yard roll — enough for a production run of top covers with no seams to work around. For posting, rearfoot control and shell material, choose a firmer grade from our high density 60-75° Shore C EVA range; this 25-30° sheet is meant to go over the top of it.
