EVA Foam (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) is a lightweight, flexible, and durable material known for its shock-absorbing and water-resistant properties. Its uniform cell structure gives it a semi-rigid yet elastic quality, making it ideal for a wide range of applications.

Orthotic, orthopedic and diabetic use
At 10mm and 50-55° Shore C there is real depth to accommodate into — enough to sink a prominence into the material rather than build around it, while staying softer than the 70-75° grades. Orthotic labs, pedorthists and shoe repair shops use it for:
- Total-contact diabetic inserts where accommodation needs genuine depth
- Deep heel cups and cradles thermoformed over a positive cast
- Full-depth accommodative devices for a foot that cannot tolerate a firm shell
- Relief pockets and cut-outs for ulcer sites and bony prominences
- Cushioned heel lifts and buildups that absorb shock rather than transmit it
- Midsole blanks and soft filler in orthopedic footwear
Closed-cell, so it does not soak up perspiration or lose thickness to it. It heat-forms readily, grinds and bevels to a clean edge, and takes contact cement well. Where the build needs control rather than accommodation, step up to the 60-75° Shore C high density range and keep a softer sheet as the layer above it.
