About the R630 Pyramid Die Set
The R630 is the tooling used to set pyramid rivets cleanly and repeatably. Each die is machined from steel with a 9.4 mm machine die insert, so it fits the standard hand and bench presses used in leather workshops, and it is offered in three sizes – 10.3 mm, 13.7 mm and 20 mm – to match the pyramid rivet you are installing.
Matching the die to the rivet head matters. A die that is too small will mark or flatten the pyramid faces as the press comes down, and one that is too large lets the rivet shift while it seats, leaving it crooked. Select the size that matches your pyramid rivet and the head stays sharp and square through a full production run.
