Description
The Y1691 chain strap connector is a short decorative chain with a D-ring loop at each end. A leather strap passes through each end loop and is folded back, then stitched or riveted, so the chain joins two strap ends or links a strap to a bag. It is 119 mm (4-11/16″) long with five chunky links, and each end takes a strap up to 17 mm (5/8″) wide. Available in Gold, Nickel, Brushed Antique Brass and Brushed Pewter, sold in bags of 4, 10 or 50.

How to Attach It
First, cut a leather tab or strap end no wider than 17 mm (5/8″). Next, pass it through the D-ring at one end and fold it back on itself. Then stitch, rivet or use a Chicago screw to close the fold, and repeat on the other end. For a neat finish, skive the leather where it folds so the tab lies flat. Strap ends cut from our belt straps or belting leather work well.
