Description
The Y0895 arch bridge strap keeper is a screw-on strap anchor for handbags. It mounts flat on the bag body, and a snap hook, lobster clasp or strap clip hooks through the arch, so a shoulder strap can be clipped on and taken off. Each keeper comes with 2 screws and 2 washers, one for each foot. The arch has a 17 mm (0.67″) inner opening and measures 31.5 mm (1.24″) across. Available in Nickel, Gold, Brushed Pewter and Brushed Antique Brass, sold in bags of 10 or 25.

Tip: tie a short leather cord through the small ring on the side of the lobster claw. It gives you a pull tab, so the clasp opens with one easy tug instead of pressing the lever with a fingernail. Our leather cords work well for this.

How to Install the Strap Keeper
First, mark where the two feet will sit and punch a small hole for each screw. Next, set the keeper on the outside of the bag. Then push each screw through the leather from the inside, with a washer under the head, and tighten it into the threaded foot. On thin leather or a soft bag, add a small leather or board backing patch inside so the screws have more to grip. Finally, clip on a strap and give it a firm pull before you close up the lining.
