Lambskin leather hides for makers, brands, and manufacturers. Lambskin is the softest leather Avetco stocks — lightweight, fine-grained, and with a fluid drape that heavier hides cannot match. It has been one of our best-selling leathers since 1997.

Lambskin leather is used for garment and outerwear panels, linings, handbags and small leather goods, gloves, footwear uppers, and detailed work where softness and flexibility matter more than structure. It is thinner and more pliable than cowhide or goatskin, so it sews easily and holds a soft fold — but it is not the right hide where a piece must stay rigid.

Lambskin is a mainstay of film and television costume work, and we stock it accordingly — colour depth on the shelf, restocked continuously, because a costume department working to a shooting schedule cannot wait on a tannery run. We have supplied productions across Los Angeles since 1997. If you need a colour in quantity, ask us before you assume it is not available.
