Premium quality black veg-tanned tooling and stamping leather is an excellent choice for your projects, as it undergoes a 100% vegetable tanning process through a drum process. All selections go through the same process, which guarantees quality in rupture, moisture, water penetration, and flexibility. This leather is ideal for use in crafting straps, belts, cinches, pet collars and leashes, footwear, holsters and sheaths, and strops. It is made from cowhide (double shoulder) and is 8-9 oz. thick (3.2 - 3.6 mm). The color is charcoal black (struck-through), and the average hide size is 14-17 sq. ft. The texture is smooth, and the temper is stiff. It is 100% veg-tanned and comes from Mexico.
