Latigo Veg Tan Leather is crafted from the highest quality Grade A cowhides available, making it one of the most durable and long-lasting leathers in the market. The leather is 100% vegetable-tanned using natural extracts from Chestnut, Mimosa, and Quebracho tree bark. This process ensures the leather is free from harsh chemicals, making it an excellent choice for environmentally conscious leatherworkers.

Our unique waxing process adds an extra layer of protection to the leather, enhancing its durability and making it resistant to wear and tear. The semi-flexible temper and slight pull-up effect allow the leather to maintain its shape even after prolonged use. This makes it perfect for saddles, reins, straps, belts, and many other leatherworking projects.

Latigo Veg Tan Leather is available in two weight options: 7/8 oz. (2.8-3.2 mm) and 9/10 oz. (3.6-4.0 mm). The average hide size is 22-25 sq. ft., making it perfect for larger projects. The flesh side is pasted, ensuring that the leather is smooth and consistent. Finally, the leather is tanned in Mexico, where expert craftsmen have been perfecting the art of leatherworking for centuries.
