What is nubuck leather This material is suitable for footwear, accessories, handbags, apparel, craft, belts, and DIY projects. Nubuck leather is swine (pig leather) that has a medium soft temper and a chrome tannage. It has a texture that is referred to as nubuck and an average hide size of 5-6 sq. ft. The thickness is 3 oz. (1.0 – 1.2 mm). The raw material comes from the subspecies Sus scrofa domesticus and is from Taiwan. It can be used for DIY projects.
