Description
Y. Vertu is a cow suede leather with a short, dense, even nap and unusually deep color, because it is drum dyed all the way through rather than surface sprayed. It is cut from double butt splits, the firmest part of the hide, which gives a suede with body – it holds a line in a jacket or a boot instead of collapsing. Pieces run 10-14 square feet at 3/4 oz. (1.2-1.3 mm) and the range covers twenty-nine colors, from Powder Pink and Desert Sand through to Pine Green, Deep Water and Woodsmoke.

Cow suede leather is sold by the piece, and each one falls within the size range you choose. Suede shows its nap direction, so lay all the panels of one project the same way round or they will read as two different shades.
