Working With Tuscany Veg Tan Leather
At 0.8 – 1.2 mm this is the lightest Tuscany weight, suited to linings, shoe components and goods that need to fold rather than stand up on their own. Because it is undyed it takes dye, stain and finish evenly, and like all vegetable tanned leather it darkens gently with light and handling.
For pieces that need to hold their own shape, back the panel or step up to the 3/4 oz or 4/5 oz in the same range.
