Soft pearlized goatskin leather carries the same luminous pearl finish as our 3 oz pearlized goatskin, on a thinner hide with a noticeably softer temper. At 2.5 oz. (1.0 mm) it drapes, folds and gathers easily, so it suits lined bags, garment trim and footwear where a firmer hide would feel stiff. The fine goat grain still shows through the finish, and the surface shifts between matte and lustrous as the light moves across it. Hides run 5-7 square feet in two shades: Beige, a soft champagne gold, and Charcoal, a deep slate grey.

Soft pearlized goatskin leather is sold by the hide, and each one falls within the 5-7 sq. ft. size range. A pearl finish shows its direction, so lay matching panels the same way round or they will read as two different shades. Avoid creasing hard against the finish and test adhesives on an offcut, as a coated surface takes glue differently from bare leather. Need a firmer hide?
