Description

Sheen cow suede is a double butt split finished with a fine glittery sheen worked into the nap – not a foil laid on top, but a shimmer that sits in the surface and catches light as the piece moves. The base is a firm European cowhide split, so it holds a line despite the soft hand. Pieces run 12-14 square feet at 3/4 oz. (1.3-1.4 mm) in Black, Chestnut, Tan, Steeple Gray, Bronze Green, Mood Indigo and Real Teal.

Sheen cow suede is sold by the piece, and each one falls within the size range you choose. Suede shows nap direction and the sheen shifts with it, so lay all the panels of one project the same way round or they will read as two different shades. Test any adhesive or finish on an offcut, as a glittered nap takes them differently from plain suede.
