Description
A Rex rabbit fur pelt has the densest, most velvety pile of any rabbit fur. The Rex breed carries almost no long guard hairs, so the coat is even and plush all the way across at 0.3-0.6 inches deep – it feels closer to cut velvet than to a typical fur. Pelts measure roughly 10″ x 15″ on a soft 1.6 mm leather backing and are stocked in Black, Brown and White.

Rex rabbit fur pelts are sold individually and sizes are approximate, since every pelt is a natural skin. Cut from the leather side with a blade rather than shears – scissors cut through the pile and leave a shaved line along the seam. The fur lies in one direction, so lay all the pieces of a project the same way round or the panels will read as different shades.
