Cow suede in Chestnut, a warm mid-brown, cut from double butt splits – the firmest, most consistent part of the hide. The nap is short and even rather than shaggy, and at 2/3 oz. (0.8-1.2 mm) the leather stays light enough to sew easily while keeping enough body to hold a line. Pieces run 7-12 square feet.
