Description
Goatskin nappa leather is a smooth, full-grain goat hide finished nappa – soft to the hand with the fine natural pebble goat is known for, and dyed through in a wide range of colours. Goat fibre is tighter than lamb, so it keeps real strength at a light weight. Hides run 5-7 square feet at 2/3 oz. (1.0-1.2 mm), in eleven shades from Black and Chestnut through to Fuchsia, Teal and Lake Blue.
Why Choose Goatskin Nappa Leather
- Full-grain surface with the fine natural pebble of goat, not a corrected finish
- Strong for its weight – goat resists tearing where a lambskin of the same substance would give
- Soft nappa hand that skives thin and sews on a domestic machine
- Eleven colours, enough to build a whole collection from one leather
- Even 5-7 sq. ft. hides, a practical size for small goods and craft work
Best Uses for Goatskin Nappa Leather
- Wallets, card cases and small leather goods
- Handbags, clutches and accessory panels
- Bookbinding, journals and box covering
- Garment trim, collars, cuffs and inserts
- Shoe linings and footwear detail

Ordering
Goatskin nappa leather is sold by the hide. Goat grain runs finer along the back and more open at the belly, so cut matching panels from the same area of the skin. Order all of one colour together when a project has to match, as shade varies a little between hides. For a larger hide see our Goatskin range, or browse our Smooth Leathers and Garment Leather. For swatches, current stock or volume pricing, email Info@Avetcoinc.com or call 818-890-6680.
Disclaimer: These leathers are free of PCP, Azo Pigments, Chrome VI, Formaldehyde, and APEO.
