Pig split lining leather is the workhorse lining of the shoe and handbag trade: a light pig suede split at 0.6-0.8 mm, soft enough to sit against a foot or a hand, strong enough not to tear at a stitch line. It is sold here as a 300 square foot bundle, which is how a production shop buys lining – one color, enough for a run, at a bundle price. Stocked in Snow White, Beige, Tan, Taupe and Brown Sugar.

Pig split lining leather is sold in 300 square foot bundles, one color per bundle – colors are not mixed within a bundle. As an economy grade, expect natural markings and some shade variation between hides; on a lining that sits inside the piece this rarely matters, which is exactly why the grade exists. Suede shows nap direction, so lay linings the same way round if the inside of the piece will be seen.
