Description
Marino calf buffalo leather is a light black hide at 1/2 oz. (0.4-0.8 mm) with a smooth top-grain surface, drum dyed through so a cut edge shows black rather than a pale core. Buffalo fibre is tougher than cow at the same weight, which is what lets this work as a lining or a fine garment panel without tearing at the stitch line. Hides run 6-7 square feet.
Why Choose Marino Calf Buffalo Leather
- Smooth top-grain surface with a clean, refined look
- Drum dyed through, so trimmed edges and skived areas stay a true black
- Buffalo fibre resists tearing where a cow hide of the same weight would give
- Light 1/2 oz. substance that skives thin and sews on a domestic machine
- Handy 6-7 sq. ft. hides for small goods and linings
Best Uses for Marino Calf Buffalo Leather

- Wallets, card cases and small leather goods
- Garment facings, collars, cuffs and trim

Ordering
Marino calf buffalo leather is sold by the hide, and each one falls within the size range shown. At this weight it is a lining and small-goods leather – for a bag or belt that must hold its shape, step up to a heavier buffalo. Order all of one project together, as shade varies a little between hides. For heavier weights see the rest of our Buffalo & Bison range, or browse our Lining Leather and Smooth Leathers. For current stock or volume pricing, email Info@Avetcoinc.com or call 818-890-6680.
