Description
Crocodile embossed cowhide is a vegetable-tanned double shoulder pressed with a crocodile scale pattern and finished semi-gloss. The plates run in graduated rows with the belly-scale look of a real croc, but on a cowhide base – no CITES paperwork, no exotic pricing, and a far more forgiving leather to cut and sew. Shoulders run 12-16 square feet at 3/4 oz. (about 1.5 mm) in Black, Cafe, T-Moro and Natural.

Crocodile embossed cowhide is sold by the piece, and each one falls within the size range you choose. The scale pattern has a direction and a repeat, so plan matching panels to carry the rows the same way and cut them from the same area. As a natural product, each shoulder may show small marks, scars or range marks; these are part of genuine leather and are usually easy to cut around. Shoulders ship rolled in a tall box to protect the finish. Because the base is veg tanned, the Natural takes dye, antique and oil evenly if you want a shade we do not stock.
