Pearl Silver lambskin leather is a soft nappa hide finished with a pearlised silver sheen – the lustre sits in the surface and shifts as the light moves rather than reading as a flat metallic. The skin underneath is the same light, supple lambskin as our plain nappa, drum dyed through. Hides run 6-10 square feet at 2 oz. (0.7-0.9 mm).

A pearlised surface can craze if it is creased hard, so avoid folding tight against the face and keep heat away from it. This is an economy grade, so plan the cut around the markings rather than expecting a clear field, and order everything for one project together – the strength of the pearl varies between skins.
